Brittania a poem dedicated to the Rt Honble Wm Pitt, [ca. 1793].

Manuscript poem, heavily corrected, praising Britain's naval and military strength, its royal line, and its natural beauty. A lengthy description of Gallia's "cruel hostile shore / warm with its monarch's blood, rebellious pow'r." The poem refers to the September Massacres in 1792 and the fall of the Louvre in 1793, and briefly mentions Italy and Hindostan [sic]. Volume also includes a prose dedication to Pitt.
