Manuscript, lightly annotated in margins, of a polemical treatise criticizing the posthumously published "History of My Own Times" by Gilbert Burnet, bp. of Salisbury (1643-1715), vol. 1 of which contained a summary of history of affairs of church and state in England and Scotland from the reign of James I to Charles II.

Gilbert Burnet was appointed Bishop of Salisbury in 1689. His most important work, History of my own time, was published after his death.
