[Manuscript notebook], [1680s].

Manuscript notebook on paper, in a single hand, corrected, containing seven texts in Latin. Texts include an essay on the Epistles; a translation into Latin of an English version of Lucius Florus' Historia; an excerpt from Camden's Britannia; and two pages on the derivation of Scottish place names. Contemporary historical texts include "Memorabilia Viennae obsidii a Turcorum...narratio brevis," an account of the 1683 siege of Vienna; a diary account of the siege of Neusohl, translated into Latin from a letter by an Englishman; and "Ephemeris Londoniensis...," a journal of European events for 1676.
