Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of quotations, precepts, and moral advice, arranged under over 70 headings such as "Civility," "Death, voluntary," "Contentment," "Reformation," "Wisdom," "Company," "Conversation," "Marriage," "Debts," "Temperence," and "Of Life and Liveing." Authors quoted or referred to include Herodotus, "Cato", Seneca, Bacon, Bulstrode, and Burnet. The section on "Memory" includes diagrams and schemas for the "Artificiall Memory" of Raymundus Lullius (Ramon Lull).
