Conceits, &c., [ca. 1660-1670].

Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of a collection of 40 poems and songs, many of them lighthearted or satirical and addressing such topics as women, love, and tobacco. The volume includes a song between Phyllis and Strephon; Katherine Philips' Uppon His Sacred Maiesties Charles the Seconds Happy Passage to England May 29th 1660; and numerous satirical songs and epitaphs, as well as English translations of several Latin epigrams by Thomas More.
