Autograph manuscript: contains reports, partly in the form of questions and answers, cases in the ecclesiastical courts, legal opinions, arguments, precedents, etc. Also Parliamentary business (including a summary of the Bishop of Rochester's speech in the Lords on 8 March 1672/3, and quoting remarks by Izaak Walton (1593-1683), and a story by Sir Henry Marten (1562?-1641). The manuscript illustrates Trumbull's work as an advocate in the ecclesiastical courts and as chancellor of the diocese of Rochester.
