The historie of Arcadia: or an addition to and a continuance of Sir Phillip Sydney's Arcadia, [ca. 1650].

Manuscript on paper, in a single Italic hand, of a political allegory written as a continuation of Sidney's Arcadia. Prefaced by an address to the reader which explains the author's motives for writing this sequel to Sidney's work, as well as his reasons for remaining anonymous. The manuscript consists of four chapters, numbered VI-IX, containing an allegorized history of England from some time before the accession of Elizabeth I to the English Civil War of 1649.
