Manuscript on vellum, in a single hand, of an indenture signed by Sedley, William Savile Halifax, 2nd Marquis of Halifax (1665-1700), William Sherrard, and John Brockett, regarding a transfer, from Sedley to Sherrard and Brockett, of land in the county of Kent, for a term of 99 years. The manuscript notes that the indenture includes "meadows, pastures, feedings, woods, underwoods, trees, marshgrounds, closes, inclosures, farmes, granges, rents, revercions, annuities, fee farm rents and services of tenants and farmers."
