Manuscript on paper, in a single cursive hand, of anecdotes set in France, often of a sensational or supernatural nature. Includes the story of Lady Purbeck, who is accused of having murdered a baby, but is absolved when the dead baby opens an eye which pours forth blood at her maidservant passing her hand over it (p. 56). The writer also includes an anecdote about Edward Kelley and the astrologer John Dee (p. 58-9). After main text, a 4-page narrative in a different hand titled "Capt. Henry Bell's narrative abt. his translating of Luther's Colloquia Mensalia since printed at London 1652."
