ALS written by Samuel W. Black to his friend Henry E. Leman advising Leman to purchase land in Nebraska City. Black describes development of Nebraska City since his arrival in 1857 and discusses advantages of investment in city lots. He urges Leman to visit and proposes that Leman and other Lancaster friends, including J. Edgar Thomson, president of the Pennsylvania Railroad, join him in investing in lots located in Kearny Ward.
