The Linonian Literary Society was founded in 1753. All undergraduates were allowed to be members of the Linonian Society. Benjamin Mills was born in Connecticut in 1739. He graduated from Yale College in 1762. Mills served as a minister and was active in local government in Chesterfield, Massachusetts.
