Diary of a Stanford University student, 1892-1899.

Printed diary for 1892, signed and completed in holograph by Field for Jan 1-6 and 16, 1892, and June 7-8 and 14-24, 1899, with accounts for Jan-May, 1892. Entries and accounts for 1892 were written while Field was an undergraduate at Stanford University and concern his return from a holiday visit to his family in the San Francisco Bay area and his studies and social life at Stanford. Entries for 1899 are an incomplete account of a trip to Mexico made by Field and a group of companions with the intention of recovering buried treasure at Loreto, near La Paz, Baja California.
