Firmin Gémier scrapbooks, 1892-1928.

Ten scrapbook volumes contain principally clippings which detail the life and work of actor and director Firmin Gémier. Volume 1 (1892-1899) includes reviews of Gémier's performances as a featured performer on the French stage. Volumes 2 & 3 (1910-1912) contain articles about Gémier's private undertaking, the Théâtre National Ambulant, a traveling theatrical troup, complete with movable stage and seats, which brought theatrical productions, many starring the actress Mme. Andrée Mégard, to the provinces of France. Volumes 4 - 10 (1916-1928) recount Gémier's return to the Parisian stage as the director of the Théâtre Antoine and includes printed articles written by Gémier.
