Holograph manuscript diary, dated 1815 Feb 12-Jun 17, consisting of sixteen pages of entries concerning the peace celebration in New Haven, social effects of West Indies trade, weather, and activities at Yale College. Accompanied by fourteen pages of accounts of Yale College expenses (1815-1818), a receipt signed by N. Beers for board during the term ending 1816 January, and a fragment of an undated receipt for a Yale College loan signed by J. Day.

The Linonian Literary Society was founded in 1753. All undergraduates were allowed to be members of the Linonian Society. The club provided students with a forum to debate, stage plays, and deliver poems, essays, and orations. The society disbanded in 1868.
