12 ALS to Samuel Cooper Johonnot from John Quincy Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Benjamin Franklin Bache, Samuel Cooper, Mrs. Abigail Cooper Hixon, Gabriel Johonnot, Achille-Guillaume Le Bège de Presle, Dorcas Armitage Montgomery, and James Sullivan. There are two letters from Adams dated Aug 25 and 31, 1783; one from Franklin dated Aug. 19 1783; two from Samuel Cooper to his grandson dated Dec. 26, 1782 and June 23, 1783 in which he mentions Dr. Franklin and speaks of the assistance of the French to the United States during the Revolution; one from Bache dated Aug. 10, 1783; one from Le Bègue de Presle dated Aug. 4, 1783; one from Montgomery dated May 14, 1783 stating that Franklin is well and the Peace will soon be concluded; one from Sullivan dated Dec. 17, 1793; and two fragments: one from Hixon dated May 9, 1783 and the other from Gabriel Johonnot, undated.
