ALS from Woods, a christian missionary, to Rev. Badger, probably Milton Badger, Secretary of the American Home Missionary Society, and Rev. Hall. Woods comments on his attempts at "promoting religion" in Iowa City, the evening meetings he conducts with a Baptist minister for the community in a schoolhouse, and the church he has organized consisting of two male and eight female members.
