The papers include letters from Sir Winston Churchill, Osbert Sitwell, and from theatrical figures such as Noel Coward, Gertrude Lawrence, Tilly Losch, Mistinguett, Mary (Anderson) de Navarro, and Sean O'Casey. A long sequence of letters from Cochran to his wife, Lady Evelyn Dade Cochran, dating from 1900-1928 includes an account of Cochran's stay in New York City in 1922 with Irving Berlin.
