Volume containing manuscript copies, in several unidentified hands, of records dating from 1851 to 1885, relating to the settlement of the estate of Robert Apple by Charles L. Weller, of San Francisco, California. The records consist of deeds of Apple's land holdings including the ranch El Valle de San Jose in Alameda County, California; Weller's correspondence with B. O. Duncan, U. S. Consul to Italy; Morris Frank, whom Weller named his power of attorney in Berlin; and John A. Kasson, U. S. Minister, and Philip Sidney Post, U. S. Consul General, Vienna; and other legal documents.
