Scrapbook containing approximately 80 original captioned pencil drawings of landscapes, animals, workmen and women, camp life, and details of railroad bed construction in Dallas, Hartley, and Oldham Counties in the Texas Panhandle dated December 1887 and undated, by an unidentified member of a railroad construction crew. Drawings are affixed to and laid in the volume. Newspaper clippings of articles relating to cowboy life by Alfred Henry Lewis and others are also contained in the volume. Accompanied by an undated 19th century mounted photograph of people standing in front of an adobe building in an unidentified town.
