Charter of the Hudson's Bay Company, [1749].

Autograph manuscript copy of the Royal Charter granted by Charles II to the Hudson's Bay Company in 1669. The copy was prepared in 1749 for Joshua Sharpe, King's Attorney, for use in a law suit brought by Arthur Dobbs and other merchants challenging the Company's privileges. The manuscript is bound with a typed transcript.
