Berkeley papers, 1724-1801.

Collection of papers relating to the donation of George Berkeley's Whitehall Farm in Rhode Island to Yale College, and relating to the administration of the Berkeley prizes at Yale. A group of papers labeled "Title deeds for the estate in Rhode Island convey'd to Yale College" contains copies of wills, covenants, a praecipe and writ of entry, a writ of seisin, copies of certain acts and a letter to Berkeley. Another group of papers contains documents relating to the rent of Whitehall Farm, announcements of examination for the Berkeley prizes, and lists of Berkeley scholars.

The Linonian Literary Society was founded in 1753. All undergraduates were allowed to be members of the Linonian Society.
