Croker papers, 1854.

Seven manuscripts, presumably by Croker. Three are from "The Gold Diggings in Ireland", one of which is an account of the discovery of Chinese coins and about the Irish politicians Daniel O'Connell and William Smith O'Brien. The only dated manuscript is in the form of a letter to Charles Roach Smith concerning discoveries of gold plates in Ireland. There is also an account of the discovery of gold in a cavern near Cloyne. There are two tales, one about a Welsh woman and her drunkard husband ("Ar hyd nos"), the other about the death of a boy from Cloyne in the Battle of Trafalgar ("The Caves of Cloyne"). There are two unidentified manuscript fragments.
