Gray's list of birds : [London], ca. 1840.

Bound holograph manuscript list of the birds of the world. Based on the second edition of Coenraad Jacob Temminck's Manuel d'Ornithologie (Paris, 1820-40) and John Latham's Index Ornithologicus (London, 1790), the texts of which have been cut up and pasted into the volumes, with additions and annotations by Gray, probably in preparation for his Genera of Birds (London, 1844-1849).
