Letters to various officials, 1843.

Letters to various officials by José Manuel de Micheltorena, Governor of California. The first, dated October 10, 1843, acknowledges the receipt of government documents, including accounting records for 1838-1843. The second letter, dated December 1, 1843, acknowledges the arrival of the new law regarding the election of deputies to the Congress and gives the dates for the new elections. The third, dated December 10, 1843, notifies officials of the election of Manuel Castañares, administrator of the maritime custom house, as deputy to the new Congress.
