Letter from the Governor of Texas, Juan María Vicencio, Baron de Ripperda, to Antonio Alcalde, Bishop of Gualdalajara, imploring the Bishop to send priests to the settlement of Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Bucareli. Vicenio reminds the Bishop of his repeated request for more priests and of the needs of the settlement, which has maintained a church on this site for over ten years.
