Letters to California officials. 1845 Jun-Aug.

Three letters by José Joaquin de Herrera to California officials concerning rebellions in the province. The first, dated June 28, 1845, to José Manuel de Micheltorrena, thanks him for his support. The second, dated August 27, 1845, is to Juan Malasín, an officer of the California government. It congratulates him on his handling of the revolt and pledges further government support. The third, also dated August 27, is to former governor of California José Castro and mentions the Mexican government's intention of sending a military expedition to reinforce the border and reestablish order.
