Report of an excursion into Pimería Alta and to the California gulf, 1702 / by Eusebio Francisco Kino.

Kino's report to Father Antonio Leal describes his expedition from the Mission Dolores in Pimería Alta to the Gila River and down the Colorado River to the Gulf of California. His report chronicles the reaction of local Indians and their baptism by Kino and his companion Padre Manuel Gonzalez. The report covers physical discoveries--that California is not an island--as well as recommendations for further missionary work.
