The Young collection consists of a videocassette, a brief biographical form from of an oral history interview conducted between Young and James Kuhlmann in 2004. In this interview, Young talks about his service in the Air Force as part of the Air Transport Command (ATC) during World War II. Young talks about entering the Air Force, his wartime service, and life after the service.

At Harris Neck, Georgia, in the remote northern reaches of McIntosh County, the United States government, in the fall of 1942, confiscated the lands along the South Newport and Barbour Island Rivers.
