The Committee on Christian Literature for Women and Children in Mission Fields, Inc. was formed in 1912 under the sponsorship of the Federation of Women's Boards of Foreign Missions. Its goal was to provide Christian literature to women and children overseas. In the first fifty years of its existence the Committee supported 27 magazines, 9 of which were originated by the Committee.
