Draft of treaty with the Seminole Nation negotiated by Albert Pike, most of it in a formal hand that is probably Pike's, with numerous corrections and leaves of additions at the end, written in Pike's normal cursive writing. The entire text of the treaty is present, with changes made during the negotiation of the treaty evident, such as the change in the title from "Treaty of Friendship and Alliance" to "Treaty of Friendship," and references from the "Seminole Nation of Indians" to "Seminole Nation of Redmen."
