Letter : to Exmo Sr. D. Antonio López de Santa Anna / by Acting President Anaya, 1847 Apr 13.

As acting president, Pedro María Anaya complains about the difficulty of raising the promised 50,000 pesos. He claims this was due to the clergy's lack of cooperation of the clergy. Anaya is recruiting troops from the National Militia and gathering armaments, but the apathy of the people will make it necessary to pass severe measures.
