Letter: to Antonio Bucareli y Ursua, Viceroy of Mexico /by Fernando Rivera y Moncada, 1776 Oct 6.

Fernando Rivera y Moncada, military governor of California, discusses the working conditions at the missions complaining that the Indians lack respect for the soldiers, and both are doing the same kind of work. He requests that the Viceroy send more help, as well as the horses which the latter had promised in his letter of the 26th of March. In addition, Rivera is anxious to retire as soon as possible.
