Lorenzo Villagra requests a pension in return for the services of his ancestor, Gaspar Perez de Villagra, an associate of Oñate in the conquest of New Mexico, 1595-1599, and author of Historia de la Nuevo Mexico (Alcala de Henares, 1610). The petition contains a detailed account of Gaspar de Villagra's career in the New World.
