Letter: to the Reverend Padre Provincial Christóbal de Escobár y Llamas /by Sebastian de Sistiaga, 1743 Sep 19.

Father Sebastian de Sistiaga (1684-1756), born in Mexico, entered the Society of Jesus, was a professor of literature at San Andrés College, and in 1718 accompanied Brother Bravo to the missions in Lower California. He worked in the missions for 29 years, first at Santa Rosalia and later San Ignacio. In 1747 he transferred back to Mexico.
