Letters and documents addressed primarily to William M. Eddy, Town Surveyor, concerning the surveying of city lots. There are two copies of a resolution of Jan. 30, 1850 forbidding the surveyor to survey lots granted by G. Colton; one notice was apparently posted in the public square. With a notice of grant of two city lots in San Francisco signed by John W. Geary, an ALS from T. M. Leavenworth to W. M. Eddy, and a notice of city lots reserved for public use and not to be sold, signed by Eddy.
