Samuel Preston was a Buckingham Township, Pa. surveyor and conveyancer, born in Bucks County and died in Stockport, Wayne County. He was a Federalist, the first associate judge of Wayne County and a Quaker. He settled the town of Stockport and built the first mill there. From the description of Diary, 1787-1788.
