Abstract

These are the official records kept by the commanding officers, adjutants, and officers of the day, regarding the activities at Fort Dalles, Fort Klamath, Fort Yamhill, Fort Hoskins, Fort Simcoe, and Fort Vancouver. These forts were manned by the Regiment of Mounted Riflemen, the 1st Cavalry Oregon Volunteers, 1st Washington Volunteer Infantry, 1st Oregon Infantry, 1st Oregon Cavalry, 2d, 3d, and 4th California Infantry, and the 4th, 9th, 14th, 21st, and 23d U.S. Infantry.
