Social History Project papers, 1976-1981.

This collection contains working papers related to the Social History Project affiliated with York University's Institute for Behavioural Research. Begun in November 1976, the initial project was based on a case study of the history of social structure and family organization in Hamilton, Ontario during the latter part of the 19th century. Later the scope was widened to include Buffalo, N.Y. and rural Erie County. The work associated with the working papers was also carried out in association with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
