Countries visited include England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Sites photographed include the deck and library of the ship S.S. City of New York; Shakespeare's birthplace and other sites in Stratford on Avon; Washington Manor House in Sulgrave (home of George Washington's great-grandfather, Laurence Washington), now called Sulgrave Manor; the Firth of Forth railway bridge, then under construction; Windsor, Warwick, Kenilworth, and Blarney Castles; buildings in London and Chester; the Giant's Causeway in Ireland; statues and galleries in the Louvre in Paris; the Eiffel Tower (then new), surrounded by the tents and structures of the 1889 Exposition universelle; Lower Grindelwald Glacier and the falls of the Rhine River in Switzerland; views from the Rhine in Germany; and a monument on the Waterloo battlefield in Belgium.
