The papers of Betty Page Cocke consist primarily of form letters to her on a variety of current events. Topics include disabled World War I veterans; the removal of the University of Virginia medical school to Richmond, Va.; the Woodrow Wilson Foundation; the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation; the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities; and her diseased boxwoods. Correspondents include Carter Glass, Beverley D. Tucker, L.D. Aylett, Arthur Kyle Davis, Norman H. Davis, Marietta Minnigerode Andrews, Milton Courtright Elliott, Mrs. J. Taylor Ellyson, and John Page Elliott. A letter from her to John Page Elliott reproves him for an article in College Topics on progress. A letter, 1840 January 11, Judith Harrison Coalter to Philip St. George Cocke, concerns the death of St. George Tucker Coalter. Miscellaneous papers include an account, an invitation, gardening and miscellaneous notes and photographs of the Cocke sisters and of an 1867 [school graduation?] picture on the steps of Monticello.
