Geologist. Jenkins, the son of Stanford professor Oliver P. Jenkins, received his A.B., 1913, M.A., 1915, and Ph.D., 1930, from Stanford University. In 1929 he joined the California Division of Mines and Mining, serving as State Mineralogist and Chief of the Division from 1947 to his retirement in 1958. Alice Mabel Jenkins was the daughter of Oliver P. Jenkins, a member of Stanford's first faculty. She earned her a.b. in physiology at Stanford in 1911. In 1912 she married Frank Weymouth.
