F. Parkman letters, 1888-1893.

The collection contains three letters. Parkman writes to Mr. [Lorettus Sutton?] Metcalf, editor of The forum, 1 Oct. 1888, regretting that he is not well enough to write a requested article; to Mrs. [M.E.W.] Sherwood, author, 12 Jan. 1889, remembering their younger days (Sherwood notes on the last page identifying Parkman as a "life-long friend"); and to Mr. Howard M. Jenkins, 17 June 1893, briefly answering a query about Robert Cavelier de La Salle. All of the letters are signed "F. Parkman."
