This collection contains correspondence, photographs, memorabilia, speeches, programs, scrapbooks, annual reports, articles, and copies of university charters. This material dates from 1828 to 2005. Materials in this collection include memorabilia of President Lloyd Elliott, multiple photographs from Dr. Elliott's tenure, materials from the faculty Committee on Governance, assembly minutes, commencements, charter day convocation speeches, the Gateway Project, scrapbooks, and papers of all GWU presidents. It also includes copies of important charters and ordinances, as well as recorder's receipts from the District of Columbia's Office of the Recorder of Deeds, for the Columbian College and for The George Washington University.There are no series with numbers 42 or 43.
