The collection contains business papers relating to the general store in Turner, Maine. Over the sixty years that the collection covers, the store is known by five names, including Mitchell and Waterman, Bradford and Waterman, J. Bradford, J. Bradford and Son, and W.B. Bradford. Included among the papers are decades of wholesale bills and receipts from supplying the store, manuscript business accounts from the 1880s, railroad bills of laden from 1868 and 1869, and cancelled checks from the early 1880s.
