This collection includes Robert Huey's reminiscence of his experiences as a prisoner during the Civil War (including Camps Oglethorpe, Libby, and Sorghum), many family photographs, cycling and travel diaries of Europe from 1902 and 1906 respectively, correspondence, genealogical records, and a typescript of Eleanor Bedford's memoir about her bout and recovery from mental illness, "Lost and Found."

Irish immigrant Robert Huey escaped from a Confederate prison during the Civil War, and later becoming a dentist in Philadelphia. His daughter, Alice Katherine Huey was an active suffragette. Her daughter, Eleanore Goepp Bedford, was an actress who wrote about an episode of mental illness in the 1950s.
