Includes correspondence, letter books, auction catalogs, daily journals, stud records, farm records, breeding registers, time books, foal records, maps and employee records of the Palo Alto Stock Farm and winery, and clippings about the Stock Farm. Charles Thomas Marvin, 1854-1890, writer on Russia, was born at Plumstead, Kent. In 1878, he published Our Public Offices which embodied an account of the disclosure of the Anglo-Russian agreement, and the unrevealed Secret Treaty of 31 May 1878.
