Primarily correspondence among members of several inter-married families of Hartford and Pomfret, Connecticut, and New York State. Members include Ann Talcott, Samuel A. Talcott who married Mary Eliza Stanley and was Attorney General for New York State, Frederick Stanley who was Mary Eliza's father, Thomas Peabody Grosvenor to his sister Mary Keyes Grosvenor Stanley, and Mary E. Talcott. Among Samuel A. Talcott̕s papers are poems and drawings, one of the U.S. seal. In the final folder are rewards of merit awarded Mary Talcott who was attending school in Coventry, Connecticut, in 1834; a letter to Maria Talcott of Middletown, 1862; a letter to Elizabeth Talcott from her sister describing her first impressions of South Hadley (Mass.), 1845; two letters from Lucretia Gager to her mother and sister, 1830, 1834; and a carte de visite of Aunt Kellogg, aunt of S.R. (?) Talcott.
