Temperance history collection, circa 1899-1920.

The Temperance History collection is an assembled collection of materials from various sources documenting temperance activities and organizations in Kansas. Included are records of the Kansas State Temperance Union; the Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) McPherson, McPherson County chapter; and the Anti-Saloon League of America, Kansas Department, dated 1918-1920. The bulk of the collection consists of records of the Kansas State Temperance Union, comprised of cash books, copies of letters sent, account books, and meeting minutes.
