Personal papers of Roy Wilford Riegle. Include records from Company L, 137th Infantry 35th Division reunions after the end of World War I (Riegle acted as secretary and historian at various times), including meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, photographs, and correspondence; other papers and records related to World War veterans; correspondence, informational bulletins, and meeting materials from the Knights Templar, including materials from when Riegle was on the Drill Team Committee and when he acted as Grand Master for Kansas; miscellaneous correspondence; insurance information from the Modern Woodmen of America, and other such papers. The collection also includes some records from Riegle's legal practice, notably probate and guardianship cases.

Roy Wilford Riegle, usually going by his middle name, was born 27 April 1896 in Lyons, Rice County, Kansas. He earned his training as a lawyer and served in the United States Army during WWI in Company L, 137th Infantry 35th Division. On 3 June 1923 Riegle married Keith Maria Roberts. Riegle practiced law in the Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas area. He served multiple terms in both the Kansas House of Representatives and the State Senate as a Republican.
