Painting on heavy paper depicts a bible, a cross, and a lamb being killed on an altar. The oval-shaped painting has scalloped edges. It shows damage from shell fire, folding, and being carried in a soldier's pack. On the reverse in ink is "FROM NOVEANT. FRANCE. SEPT. 26, 1918." There is a typewritten copy of a letter of presentation with the painting. The painting sits in a wooden black frame with gold leaf designs.
